#1. Don't store them over winter in the boat! The rodents will chew on the handles of both the rods & the reel handles. Also, don't store your buck tails in the boat, they make great nesting material for rodents. I learned that the hard way- + $ 200 of bucktail's destroyed - Shumway Giant Flasher's, etc. However, it make's for a very colorful mouse nest in a boat compartment in the spring!
