anyone out there ever go through the process of cleaning the turbo-charger on your diesel truck?

i've never done it before (owned dodges and trannies went at 125k) ... my ford is at 245k and needs a cleaning. after cruising the turbo doesn't like to pressurize responsively at times (usually when it's hot or under a load) and i'm told having the veins cleaned fixes the condition.

any opinions or experience on the subject?
