I have a 2011 Merc Opti 225 ProXS and run the amoils HP injector for $29 a gal (or 4Litres) but the Merc Opti oil is about $60 a gal.

i haven't read the warranty on the pro-xs yet, but can you void your warranty if you don't use the mercury-approved oil product in it??

I know there have been issues about this. I'm no law expert, but have been told if you use an oil that meets or exceeds manufacturer specs then you are fine. I don't believe they can MAKE you use their oil (without giving it to you), or deny a warranty claim because of that. But again, I'm not a lawyer.
