You will need 2 transducers to get the most out of your unit. The big transducer (for yhe side finder) needs to be somewhat centrally mounted to get the best readings on both sides, it is recommended that you stay at least 15" away from the prop. I'm mounted about 12" away and would loose readings above about 25mph. So I mounted a second transducer outgoard on the hull ( about 24") away from the prop and have no high speed issues.baptismrneopi
