I don't own one but fished with a friend that had a 2004 FM175 w/side console. It was a wet ride. He no longer has the boat. He got rid of it after driving across LSC in a 1 foot chop & 5 welds in the bow cracked. The warranty took care of it but after that he wanted to go with a fiberglass boat.

If you plan to fish big water I'd steer clear of Lowes.

I have heard no complaints from people that own Alumacrafts. I have fished LSC in a Crestliner Fishhawk 1850 & it was a nice boat to fish out of but it was a wet ride in a side console.
