| You could always bypass the wiring problem and use the ol' hose clamp transducer mount on the bottom of the trolling motor. Obvious minus is that you've got the wire dangling, but if you put that in some corrugated plastic like your trailer wire harness.....its really not THAT big of a deal. Only issue I ever had with that was occasionally pinching it in the deploy mechanism.
Would save you upgrading a perfectly good trolling motor.
Honestly, I'm not an overly big fan of US2's sonar in the 2 US2 units I've had. Just MY personal opinion, but I don't think it reads as accurately or with the same sensitivity, is prone to some electrical interference and I tend to get the "flashing depth of death" blink, blink, blink...... 0.9, 0.9, 0.9...... at times. | |
