Thanks Guys. I was able to cut off 3 for my 8'6 rods, I cut the center one as well, to see if the 9' would fit, but haven't tried it yet. Since I have so many larger reels, like trinidad, tranx and calcutta the length hasn't been the problem for getting them to fit, it has been trying to squeeze them in and out with all the big power handles.
