I cut the rod tubes in my 620 and then extended them with flexible tubing. Then wrapped everything back together as original. This way the tips of the rods are still protected and it remains water tight. I can get 9'3" in the center top row tubes with no problem. access as said is through the front panel. A dremel cutoff tool works good to cut off tubes.
