Subject: Optimax 75 owners- experiencing hesitation?

I have a new 2011 Optimax 75 which had the wrong pitch prop (21 p)- motor exhibited hesitation on take off and at mid throttle. I took it in to the dealer and they replaced the prop with a 19p but I am still experiencing the odd hesitation with a slight change in load for instance if I fill up the live well the hitch comes back although not nearly as bad as with the 21p. I notice with the extra 40 lbs or so from the live well the WOT RPMs changes by aboout 250 rpm. The new pitch prop has the WOT RPMs about mid range (5550) with the boat lightly loaded. Boat is a 17' Lowe Jon about 800lbs.

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced any lack of smoothness with changing loads?
Mercury and the dealer are saying because of the complexity of the motor it is sensitive to changes in conditions such as varying loads, "Certain loads may be outside the calibration of the motor and cause a lean pop".

Thanks for any thoughts!
