Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		The adhesive used on boat carpeting is solvent resistant to a degree and usually isn't the culprit even with a gas spill, it takes acetone to remove the glue; it's usually the backing on the carpeting that lets go. Soap shoud't be an issue.
