Location: Green Bay, WI | I was looking at the new Mercury 150hp four-stroke, out this year. It looks fantastic, and I was wondering whether or not Mercury is going to maybe introduce a 135hp or a 175hp model?
When the Verado engines first came out, they had a 4-cylinder 135hp model. But given that this was ungodly heavy for 135 ponies, it quickly got discontinued. Seeing how the new 150hp 4s is much lighter than the Verado though, I wonder if this opens the door for a new 135hp 4s unit from Merc? There's a hole in their product line there, with only the Optimax available in that size.
