My spedo gauge is backed up and Ive tracked air being compressed all the way to the back of the motor where there is a relief in the tube. I wanted to undo this silver bullet piece to shoot compressed air in there to remove any extra debris and get more power to dis-lodge the clog. I got the clog removed from the outside near the lower unit but i think there is something else jammed way in there since I cant get air coming out of the hole on the lower unit yet.

My problem is I have no idea how to unscrew or open this silver bullet looking bushing or adapter piece holding the tubes together, any ideas??

i've tried turning, pulling, pushing in and twisting etc.. I just dont want to break it!
