Looks like it could be THE PERFECT muskie tiller -- the best of both worlds. Low to the water, stable and fast, like an esox magnum, but with a hull that can fish bigger water. At 17'7" long and 87" beam it's a good sized boat, much bigger than the esox mag, and it looks like Ranger put some serious thought into design and engineering. Small tillers are often slow, and it looks like Ranger contemplated those issues with this design to maximize performance. Plus, it's got a 9'6" rod locker!

For the Tuffy fans, wouldn't this boat be VERY similar to the mythical x176 that has generated some hype but isn't yet in production? Seems like an obvious comparison to me -- comparing this Ranger to the Esox Mag is like comparing the x190 to a boston whaler of the same length.
