Another thing to consider is almost all fuel tanks in boats are plastic compared to metal in autos.Take a 5 gallon plastic can and a 5 gallon metal can with the same fuel in it and over 4 months(providing there both sealed properly),the fuel in the plastic will break down as to where the fuel in the metal will still be sufficient.Been tested and proven.
