Good dependable motor. Use lots of gas at top end. Very upgradable if you like more power.




What exactly do you mean by upgradable?? Easily modified? I just got a 690vs with one on it last fall, only had it out twice in the last couple weeks, but it starts quickly and runs smooth. Still trying to figure out prop though.

Lots of performance upgrades to get more power out of the motor. Examples: shaved heads, reeds, Brucato Intake, ECU reprogram, exhaust tuner,....



Figured those were some of the things you meant. I've never really thought about messing with an outboard before, but might have to do some research now.
