Location: Ames, Iowa		Mounted to the right side of the boat- Push it forward with the right hand on the shaft as you pull back on the release with the left hand- and I put spray silicon on the shaft. Don't think I'd use paste wax or anything with bulk. I'd worry about sanding it too.
