Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | There are only a couple mills in the US supplying boat carpet. There are several grades, and advantages and disadvantages to each grade.
The lightest weight has a very short nap, and although it wears well, it doesn't look 'plush'. The medium weights are what most companies choose offering a nice balance between feel, look, and nap height, which doesn't mat down easily. The heaviest weight I don't like much, it shows traffic areas really easily and has to be kept really clean to look good. |
