$10-15K buys a lot of boat if you are patient.

being a buyer is a great place to be and once the decision is made you are immediately in and equal and opposite position. so, buy carefully, patiently and try to get something everyone else is trying to find. that boat is a Ranger 681, 690, 692 or Champion FishHunter in my opinion. i was in the same place a couple years ago and am extremely happy to be an owner of a nice 690 ... i got mine for less than your range btw. they are out there ... but, as mentioned above ... they go really fast so you gotta act quickly.

another great boat to be an "owner" of is the tuffy esox-magnum. you mention "big-water" or i would have added that to my list. that said, you would be surprised how "big" that boat will fish. you can find good ones here and there and if you ever wanted to move from it to something else, there will be a line of buyers there for you.
