Chad, I would go to dealers and check out the boat layouts. See what you like for what kind of fishing you do or if you'll have kids in the boat. Look at deck space, rod and overall storage, and anything else that is important to you. Then, when you narrow it down start watching the classifieds and craigs list. You can find a good used boat in that price range no problem. Once the weather starts to get nicer guys will start listing their boats more. When you see what your looking for jump on it. That worked for me, I got an Alumacraft navi 175 with johnson 115 4 stroke for $13000. They are out there, be patient.
