Location: Davenport, IA		An aluminum bass boat sits much higher than glass. I would not go longer. I had a 48" on my Alumacraft bass boat and it was halfway out of the water most of the time. I had a 54" powerdrive on my glass boat and it was just as annoying. I have a 42" now and its just right. Sure, it can go out of the water when its rough, but I'll take that over it getting in the way.
