you can run a foot pedal with an ipilot if you add it later. I have the ipilot and it works great.

In terms of a 45" shaft a lot of bass guys use the 45". The longer the better I always feel though. If you are interested I have a used 45" terrova in very good shape without ipilot. Feel free to PM me if you are interested.
