You need some simple software to assist you.

I haven't used any of the Lowrance-specific PC software, but Navionics and Humminbird each have their own to help you.

The Navionics "PC App" allows you to view their maps on your computer. You can also import and export data points between your computer and gps unit. This software is a free download if you purchase a mapset to use on your computer; most of the mapsets are ~$25.

The "Humminbird PC" program allows you to import/export data points between your computer and gps unit and displays the information on your computer using Google Earth. This software is a free download when you register your Humminbird unit.

Both require a simple transfer using an SD card.
