Here's a good one. I have known the effects of bug spray for several years and have always been careful with it. The said, I left my HDS 7 on my boat to and from the landing one day this summer, and when I got home my locator looked like the one pictured above. I don't know what got on it, as there was no bug sparay used in my boat that day at all. It isn't horrible, but it is dissapointing because I almost always take them off before travelling, or at least loosen the RAM and fold them down. Wondering what was in the puddle I drove through. Could it have been a chemical in someones sprinkler system? At a loss. Just a lesson for those who may leave your electronics on your rig, even for short runs. Weird.


That is why my electronics ride in the truck. No rock chips if it is behind the front seat in a Pelican storage case.
