Location: Central Wi | I had heard some bad things about bug spray in the past but never guessed it could do what it has to the locator. Main reason for the post is just to inform anyone who was like me and didnt know the damage that it could do. We always used a Thermacell along with bug spray, and only handfull of times a year... but it only takes once.
I also emailed with Humminbird and they said they didnt think anything would removed the spots because like everything and everyone says it eats away at the plastic. But they would fix it or replace the out case for the standard $260 charge. What a deal. I hope that everyone else can just learn from my mistakes on this one.
From here on out it will only be a Thermacell or two in the boat...
