To piggy back on that, you can reduce the amount of carbon build-up if you are using a good synthetic TCW-3 oil. That should help with the potential of fouling the plugs which can happen with 2-stroke engines.

You might also want to check your owners manual as well... they might recommend a different plug for the application which could help as well.

Either way, TJ's right, though... as long as you run the motor open for a bit, the carbon will be burned out for the most part.
