Some great boat projects on this site, including this one. I would change one thing, it would be to extend the back deck across the gas cans and batteries, making it easier to stand on. Awesome looking non the less.


Yes... I wanted to extend the rear deck,but the fuel tank sits appx. 3-4 inches above the rear deck(fittings,cap,etc.) and they dont offer a fuel tank that holds 10-12gal that is more low profile to fit in that area.Not for sure how to go about doing something like that if it came down to having a platform sitting higher than the deck that is there now...thats a project i dont want to screw up.


I was in the same boat as you so to speak with extanding the rear deck, with a fuel tank issue. What I ended up doing was having a custom tank made. That let me put the deck to the transum. It is more jacking around but what i gained i felt it was worth it.
