The trailer is not a tandem?

Some good advice here. If you have a dremel tool, you can literally cut the old race to the spindle without touching the spindle and drive it off with a chisel. That axle has flow through lubing, so make sure the zerk is not damaged by putting a bit of grease through it when the bearings are removed.
