Dave,why would release the winch strap ?? Thats a no no. I release the transom straps when my boat sits for long periods of time and leave a sign on the boat to remind me they are off.If I get in the boat while on the trailer I always tighten up the transom straps.Shorelander has a good web site and tells you which of their trailers are for what brand and model of boat. Make sure you have the correct trailer first. There is also good info you can download off the Shorelander web site. If you do not have the correct trailer long trips towing will not be fun. What did the dealer that adjusted the trailer have to say about it ?
