Subject: Re: custom snap covers??

I had my cover for my boat done at Webster Custom Canvas too, just like Mack. HOWEVER, they told me I could trailer with the cover on---and that was pretty far from the truth. My cover was almost $700.00 and the first time I trailered it for a long distance, several if the snap straps tore out----and the cover began to shred from the rear forward, wherby causing the wratchet strap to knot up----break--- and cause over $1000.00 damage to my 90 hp Merc four stroke. When I asked them about replacing the cover--they told me it was 2 yrs old and they would be GLAD to do another one----of course------for ANOTHER $700.00 So, you might want to find another cover shop than WCC----they don't really stand by their craftsmanship, in my honest opinion. Good luck, Jobu
