Isnt it still under warranty?
This is a similar product to what my dad used for years when restoring cars. It converts rust and applies a protective coating. http://www.theruststore.com/Rust-Converters-C10.aspx?UserID=1229375...
On a side note, the reason you are getting rust there is the water is not properly draining from the bottom of you door, before doing any type of treatment, make sure you address this issue first or it will just happen again.
