use rope for most of the anchor line and add a section of chain 3 or so feet long ahead of the anchor. this will add weight so the anchor grabs better with less line out to run fish around without tangles. ex:when u have more line out it grabs better ect...... down side is on a river with rocks and manmade debris theres more to get caught on all the junk on the bottom
