Efly, I could be wrong, but if you saw where mine is located and how well it works, you'd probably be surprised. I personally would not want mine located where the 2D ducer is because of the motor and the potential issues you'll have being that close. I was told specifically do not mount on the transom in line with the motor.

I also think the Side Imaging ducer could be moved down a bit, at least flush with the bottom, hence why the spot between the two bunks is where I'd personally put it.
