Location: Hopefully on the water
ok had the boat out on Saturday and the motor cut down the power while cruising along. Opened the cawling and the motoe had a ton of water in it. Had to nurse the boat back and stop every 1/4 mile and trim the motor all the way up to empty the water out of the moter. I got home and checked things out.
Don I see the grey hose you are talking about and it is teed in the back of the morot. 1 line goes to the back of the motor on the bottom. the other to the top on the motor into a relay or sensor? and the other end of it goes free for about 18" and not plugged into anything. It sits up by the oil tank on the motor but do not see where it would plug into if anywhere. All hoses look to be good. I ran it on the muffs this afternoon and see where the water is coming out of and it looks like a gasket on the bottom of the motor. Question is if I silicone that should that help elimate that issue The motor is a 2010. I could take it in but the down time is what I am concerned about for something that looks like it could be a simple fix with silicone. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
