Location: Indiana | I got an 08 with a 150 Etec and love it. The back deck is fine, I've fished back there thanks to i-pilot and so have several other people without complaint. My 4 year old son fishes back there as well. I've had more of a problem with younger kids falling off the front deck trying to touch the water. The etec with a 4 blade 18" prop with a full tank and 2 people will run 45-46. Haven't had it in really nasty water where your wondering if you'll make it back but have had it in some rough water and handled it no problem. Handles wind well when using the trolling motor. Make sure you get the Ranger cover, easy to use, very waterproof. Only complaint is that it has more hull slap then mseyberts 620.
Mine was a hold over on a dealers showroom in 09 and already had the 150 on it but with that being said of all the ones I looked at all but 2 were 150's. Those were both 4 stroke yamaha's. |
