| Had a trailer tire come off on the way to the lake Saturday morning, not cool. I repacked all my wheel bearings a few weeks ago and tightened everything up properly. Unbeknownst to me and a little late to the party, a buddy tells me with aluminum wheels sometimes the lugs back themselves off and in my case that resulted in a trailer tire coming loose. Minimal damage considering what happened, just have to replace all the studs on the hub or get a new hub. Thank God I had a tandem axle trailer!
When is the last time you checked your lug nuts? Might be worth a look! | |
