Hiya,

Sounds like it could be a seal going bad. How well does the trim work while running down the lake? Does the motor go down as you try to trim up?

I know there are some hydraulic systems that you can adjust a screw (neighbor's Merc 75 2 stroke) to either tighen up the hydraulic pressure.

It might be that you are just low on hydraulic fluid too...

gut says you have a leaky seal...
