I had a 200 EFI... first of all, it is a great motor. My brother bought my boat and it is still running so strong. I did change mine every other year. I would guess that if you don't put many hours on the boat...you could go longer. I just believed that new impellers are cheap compared the harm poor circulation could cause. That said, we did and still do put tons of hours on that boat each summer.
