Right out of the water - sponge, bucket of water, towel to dry
Sits a couple days - some form of all-purpose cleaner - Formula 409, Simple Green, etc
Cleaned a few times a year - fiberglass cleaner made by 3M (I use the tube) and apply with one rag, wipe away with another

I like to give the boat and trailer (if applicable) a coat of wax at least once a year. I generally do it before a big trip.
