I own one. It can handle rough water. I spend most of my time on Tonka. Some of the bigger basins can get rolling pretty good on a windy day and I have always been able to run where I want to run. Have gotten a little wet when needing to quarter the waves from time to time but nothing to cry about. Would I have been on Mille Lacs these days? No. Handles the "Tonka Chop" too if you've ever experienced that. Not sure how rough you were thinking. I love the boat though.
