| It really depends on the vehicle. I tow an 1850 Reata (probably close to 4000 lbs) with a Dodge Dakota (rated 6100 lbs) and have no problem. I also tow it with my wife's Traverse (rated 5200 lbs, with tow pkg) and it works just as well. It really depends on the vehicle. Also, you're vehicle may be rated to 6600 lbs with the tow package, but without it, it may only be rated to 2000 lbs or so. So if you're looking at a new vehicle, make sure it has the tow package, which is more than just a hitch under the bumper. | |
