Hiya,

Looking at the design of the stern of the boat, I think you are tied to a console model. The handle for the motor would be too low and always be hitting the splashwell. I'm not sure, but I would bet you might not be able to cut down the front portion of the splashwell since that would act as some support for the rear of the boat.

That layout is wide and deep, so I think room will not be an issue.

Also, if you are doing some longer runs with the boat, having the console is definitely more comfortable (in my humble opinion). Plus, you can put a larger motor on it with the console.
