Subject: Installing DownEast Rod Holders

I just Purchased a 17' Lund Pro Angler, I will be picking it up on Wednesday... It was owned by an older gentleman who never Installed any optional Equipment on the boat, He never even drilled a hole or put a screw in the boat. I removed my main Fishfinder, Trolling motor, New Batteries, Ropes, bumpers, and all other equipment.... My 6 Downeast Rod holders were usually clamped on to the sides or bolted down on the flats......... But Now I have the Option of installing the rod holders on Rails, bolting them down, or buying some kind of track systems.... I was favoring putting on stainless steel Ranger type Rails and installing the rod holders to them..... Are The track systems better? cost is not a problem I just Want to do this the best way. I know both will work any Pros / Cons. ? Thanks Mike Sr
