Location: north central wisconsin | I just spent most of a week fishing with a friend who owns 2 Humminbird units from a few years ago. While I was extremely impressed with the clarity of the sonar, and the lack of clutter/interference when running two units side by side, what I really liked, was his ability to shade contours on the Lakemaster map. We were able to choose the zone/s that were producing and color shade those particular contours/depths, which helped these areas 'pop' on the map at a glance once a pattern developed, and assisted in the fish boated dept. Saw this once on the Lindner program, and now in person, and see its' usefullness. /being able to shade, for example, everything from 9-11' let us quickly see where there was a wide band of 10' etc. without studying the map to do so. Very nice when on the go.
I know my lcx 111 does not, but I want to assume my HDS 7 has the feature. I was just wondering how to perform this custom contour shading with these units.
