VMS now that sounds like it might actually work. I will have to put the thinking cap on and build a box as you state. Using the angle iron would be a must so that it does not break up the box when I lean my big arse on it.

I should be able to build a frame out of angle iron and then use marine plywood to enclose the metal frame. If I can actually use my brain I can make it the exact size of the opening. There is a door that opens up to support the existing floor board so I can use that to keep the box within that area. Might end up being a little neavy but I cannot really bolt it to the boat. Due to kids and wife the front seats are needed when we just take family tours of the lakes around here!!

Thanks again for thinking outside the box for me VMS!! At least someone can think I sure in the heck did not!!!! Brain damaged as a kid I think!!!!
