Hi again,

After quickly searching for a picture of your boat (or something close to the year) I get what you are talking about.... I was looking at a 2007 full windshield model...

Funky way of designing a front end to a boat...

I would suggest this: Get some 3/4" marine grade plywood, some angle Aluminum, carpet to match the boat, and marine carpet glue...

Build a box to fit into the cavity, making sure to use the angle aluminum to reinforce on the underside between the top of the box and the sides, along with reinforcing the sided of the box (vertical). Carpet with the matching carpet, then install a pedestal base for a leaning post pole. Be sure with the base that you attach all the way through with bolts and washers rather than wood screws or sheet metal screws. This will guarantee the base will not rip out.

Gets you up to the level you desire, and if you attach the box to the sides somehow, a very sturdy platform with more space for your feet.. and yet removable if there is a time you do not need it.

Steve
