A friend of mine has a 1997 Mercury Force 75hp engine. The alarm started to go off on our last trip and he called the shop he uses and they told him it needs a water pump. He was quoted $500.00+ to do it, which seems a lot of money. He has been out of work all summer, so he can’t afford to fix it, is it hard to do the water pump? He is located NW burbs of Chicago, if anybody over this wants to do it cheap.
