Agreed. The larger the tire, the more weight it can usually take, but it also depends on the rating of the tire. Many boat trailer tires come with Load Range B, but if you can get them, I would highly suggest load range C, which is a 6 ply tire whereas a B rated tire is only 4 ply (not much different than your normal car tire)

Below is a short list of the loads of tires in different sizes.... Load range B takes 35 PSI for air pressure and C takes 50 PSI. These are just a few that I found, but all tires should fall at or close to these weights.

4.80 x 12 B.... 785 lbs
4.80 x 12 C... 990 lbs
5.30 x 12 B... 840 lbs
5.30 x 12 C... 1045 lbs

ST175/80D13 B... 1100 lbs
ST175/80D13 C... 1360 lbs
ST185/80D13 C... 1480 lbs

ST205/75D14 B... 1430 lbs
ST205/75D14 C... 1760 lbs
ST215/75D14 C... 1870 lbs

ST205/75D15 C... 1820 lbs
ST225/75D15 C... 2050 to 2150 lbs

Did I hit the size you need?

Steve
