Pretty hard to diagnose your problem with what you given for information. Can you take a picture of where your transducer is mounted?

How was your sensitivity set on both units? I'm assuming you had the Eagle set at a much higher sensitivity, hence why you were picking things up.

I have a 17ft deep v-hull the transducer is mounted on the back of the boat right
were the older fishfinder transducer was mounted that I took off the boat about 20
inches to the right of the outboard motor. the eagles transducer is on the trolling
motor. Both units are set to auto I have not touched the sensitivity on either.
I know the hds was working the gps was right on and it was marking stumps and weeds and the water depths and temps were the same as the eagle unit.
The hds just didn't see fish.
Thanks dave
