Location: syracuse indiana		hey mm thats funny . mine did the same darn thing, and all that happend to me was the skeg got about a 1/2 inch to 1 inch shorter, but the motor and shaft is ok not a scratcg, i got lucky too. but i am now sold on the minn kota becouse of that.. if it was any of my past motorguides, they would have been trashed
