Location: north central wisconsin | Lowrance acknowledged there was a problem when i talked to them on the phone a couple weeks ago, and assured me it was fixed late last year, and that I'd have no issues with my hds7. Hopefully it was a mistake in that you got one from last year. That said, I had mine out for the first long trip last week, and had it blink off on me a couple times(then did auto configure and seems fine), and also am experiencing problems with the gps map updating/tracking my turns. Lags behind my 111 gps a fair amount. I will move my 111 to the front when night fishing which is fine.
Please let us know what you hear regarding your HDS 7, and exactly what went wrong. It is a pain to deal with during the fishing season, I know, but based on my recent experience, they will treat you right.
